About the Wandering Endorphin
Jim Green, who records under the moniker, The Wandering Endorphin, is a multi-genre songwriter and award-winning guitarist. When listening to his body of work there is an audible prism of musical styles such as rock, country, funk, bluegrass, and instrumental fingerstyle acoustic guitar. Green's driving perfectionism in his music has brought him from an unknown street musician to gaining the attention of the Editors of Billboard Magazine who named him "One of the best independent artists in the Midwest" and winning the 2004 Guitar Idol Championship. He has received airplay on radio stations across the country, including National Public Radio (NPR) and Chicago's very own 93XRT.
The Wandering Endorphin has opened for artists such as America, Lucas Nelson, Ann Wilson (Heart), Poi Dog Pondering, Pat Benatar, Muriel Anderson, Creedence Clearwater Revisited, and Dire Straits Legacy, to name a few. He continues to record and drop singles every two months while reinventing his sound with every new release. |

About Jim Green Deciding that the well-worn paths that other musicians adhere to were not the proper routes for his own creativity, Chicago based Guitarist, Singer/Songwriter Jim Green, has transcended popular genres by creating fiery percussive driven finger-style acoustic guitar songs in a fresh and compelling way since 1999. Like great guitarists before him such as Michael Hedges, he utilizes unusual guitar tunings while incorporating percussive rhythms, harmonics, and finger-tapping with a piano-like approach that is both musically and visually stimulating. Jim Green’s live performances are mostly made up of steel and nylon string guitar that might be described as avant-garde, new edge with shades of rock, folk, flamenco and blues.
